Solar Viejo Rioja Reserve
The 2013 vintage was characterized by atypical weather conditions. The intense rains and low temperatures were the protagonists of spring, which led to a delay in the vegetative cycle, causing a maturation inequality between the different vineyards and sub-areas of the appellation. As a result, the latest vintage in the recent history of the Denomination, and one of the shortest in terms of production. The good weather that prevailed during September and October allowed the harvest to be carried out electively, finally achieving optimum quality in the harvested fruit.

Nose: in a still glass, the aromas from its aging in the barrel predominate, vanilla, cloves, black pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel. After slight stirring, fruity notes such as blackberry, fig, raspberry jam and aromas of cocoa appear.
Mouth: good volume and persistence, with a certain acidity that provides freshness and intense flavors from wood. In aftertaste certain balsamic notes appear that contribute to give it greater complexity.
